Many people are looking for ways that they can improve their health. In fact, there are becoming more and more focuses on it in our general life now more than ever. For some, it’s something that comes naturally but for others, it’s definitely something they have to work on. Being healthy is bound to mean something different to each and every person, we all have different goals at the end of the day. There's no right or wrong for the way you should be living your life but one thing is for sure a healthy lifestyle is important for the majority.

We all need to eat food for growth and the overall maintenance of a healthy body, but we all have different requirements at different stages in our lives. Often it’s also dependant on body size, gender, and activity levels too. This is where people tend to slip and avoid healthy living because there is no one rule fits all outlook. Some good ways to make sure you are eating well Include:

Eat three meals a day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) - This should be the basic way of making sure you are getting the right amount of nutrients that you need, some people, however, prefer to eat six smaller meals throughout the day often referred to as grazers.

Try to make sure you have a balanced diet - your diet should have fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meats, fish, and many more. Variety is the key.

Control portion sizes; eat the smallest portion that can satisfy your hunger pangs and then stop eating, try not to overindulge, listen to your body.


As we all know there are some things in life that are bad for us that we should really be avoiding, in order to live the best healthy lifestyle there are a few things you should limit and avoid altogether. These include:

  • Smoking - Although smoking rates have dropped, there are still people that do it, it’s not advised for a healthy lifestyle.

  • Drugs - It’s not recommended that you take any recreational drugs as part of a healthy lifestyle.

  • Alcohol - Yes, it can be nice to enjoy a drink every now and again but that’s exactly what it should be and in moderation.
