National Margarita Day - Why we Love the Margarita

As of the year 2016, it was determined in a joint venture between the Nielsen Group and CGA Strategy that the Margarita is the favored cocktail, occupying 60% of the 15,000 on-premise individual's who were surveyed (U.S. Market).  Wow! Following are the Daiquiri, Pina Colada, Long Island Iced Tea and the Mojito.

Also noted was that tequila, by a representational factor of 44%, is the favored liquor base for U.S. cocktails.*

Part of the popularity of this sometimes-sour, usually sweet beverage is its 3-basic-ingredients versatility.  It has evolved nicely.  Still, nothing beats the $5.00 'Rita at our favorite Mexican restaurant.
