Tyler Perry's A Madea Christmas (2013): Review and Quotes

Agghhh...we see so many movies that we simply do not like and this is not one of them.

We truly enjoyed it! By now, this is one of those classics which you will want to see every year.

Part of the fun begins when the word play begins.  Main character Madea (Tyler Perry), is a virtual sea of odd connections that provides enough fodder for most of this movies success.  Please, do not misunderstand.  There were many successes in this one film.

The one thing that we do not understand are the low ratings from other reviewers.

Were those reviewers watching as Madea explains to Lacey's (Tika Sumpter) class the importance of Christmas and how that Jesus was born of Mary J. Blige?

A Madea Christmas (the original title) delivers an endless stream of laughter, which is doted with true love and genuine insight.

Clearly, Perry's sense of humor and self drive this sensitive film.  For example, we never expected to see Madea enter into a building, which is occupied by masked-and-robed KKK members.  Their presence in the film was tolerated by Perry's incredible speed and agility as he hops, fumbles and falls sideways into the getaway Range Rover, to escape their detestable assembly.

We won't spoil the joy you would have otherwise had, if you were to watch this movie.  But, the main theme of the film is racial unity.  Yes, we can harmonize with Queen Latifah as she spells out, "U-N-I-T-Y," but, we need more.

We need more media examples of true diversity.  Not tolerance.  Unity.

Clearly, this is the most successful Madea endeavor yet!
