Cocktail Recipes for Elk Rider Bourbon:

Bourbon Old Fashioned

  • 2 Oz Elk Rider Bourbon
  • 4 Dashes Angostura bitters
  • 1 Tsp Sugar
  • 1 Orange Wheel
  • 1 Maraschino Cherry
  • 1 Splash Club Soda

In an Old Fashioned glass, muddle the bitters, sugar, orange wheel, cherry and a splash of soda.  Remove the orange rind, add the bourbon and fill with ice.  Garnish with a fresh orange wheel and cherry.


  • 8 Oz Elk Rider Bourbon
  • 4 Oz Spiced Rum
  • 6 Eggs, separated
  • .75 Cup Sugar
  • 1 qt Whole milk
  • 1 pt Heavy Cream
  • Nutmeg (Garnish)

In a large bowl, beat together the egg yolks and half a cup of sugar until they turn light in color.  Stir in the milk, heavy cream, bourbon and rum.  In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites with the remaining quarter-cup of sugar until they form soft peaks.  Fold about a third of the egg whites into the yolk mixture.  Serve in punch or tea cups topped with freshly grated nutmeg, folding in more of the egg whites as desired.

The Manhattan

  • 2 Oz Elk Rider Bourbon
  • 1 Oz Italian Sweet Vermouth (Carpano Antica Formula)
  • 2 Dashes Bitters (Fee Brothers Whiskey Barrel Aged Bitters)

Add all the ingredients to a mixing glass and fill with ice.  Stir until exceedingly well-chilled.  Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with a lemon twist.

Whiskey Sour

  • 1.5 Oz Elk Rider Bourbon
  • .75 Oz Fresh Lemon Juice
  • .75 Oz Simple Syrup (1 Part Water to 1 Part Sugar)
  • 1 Cherry and Lime Wedge

Add all the ingredients to a shaker and fill with ice.  Shake, and strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice.  Garnish with a cherry and lemon wedge.
