The Emotional Edge by Crystal Andrus Morissette

The Emotional Edge is, for the most part, an invigorating piece which focuses on getting past yourself to truly enjoy what life was/is meant to be.  The quiz's, meditations and exercises are well done and on point.  The knowledge between the covers is vast.

However, it is also somewhat verbose.  We had a difficult time reading the Edge because our minds kept splintering off into bipolar wildernesses.  We were overwhelmed.  This led to our ambivalence about the book.  Yes, we highly recommend it to all!  And, no.  It's entirely too much reading.

You have to take the Edge page by page.  You cannot power read through anything.  It was written for one to do that anyway.  It was written for the thinking reader, who would actually and honestly consider her feelings about critical issues and situations.

The Emotional Edge by Crystal Andrus MorissetteEvery relationship is a negotiation.

It's important you know that you are not your past.

Our behavior is always our responsibility.

The list of the ways disempowered people put "their stuff" on us is long.

Without healthy boundaries, others can touch us how they want, treat us how they want, and do whatever they wish with our possessions.
