Avión Tequila for National Tequila Day

Avión founder and tequila aficionado Ken Austin set out, physically to create a quality tequila.  This (naturally) led Austin through Mexico.  He ended up in small town, that of Jesus Maria.  While he was there, he met up with the Lopez family, who are fifth generation agave growers.  Together, they created the award-winning flavors that are Tequila Avión.

Avión Espresso Tequila:

The Rally

1 part Avión Espresso Tequila
2 parts Cola

Pour ingredients into a rocks glass over ice. Stir. 

Avión Silver:

Avión Lemonade
2 Parts Avión Silver
1 Part Fresh Lemon Juice
1 Part Simple Syrup
Top With Club Soda

Combine ingredients in a Collins glass with ice.  Stir until mixed.  Garnish with a lemon wedge and mint leaf, if desired.

Avión Paloma
2 Parts Avión Silver
1 Part Grapefruit Juice
1/2 Part Simple Syrup
Splash of Club Soda

Add the ingredients into a Collins glass over ice.  Stir until chilled.  Garnish with a lime wedge.

Elevated Margarita
2 Parts Avión Silver
1 Part Fresh Lime Juice
½ Part Agave Nectar

Combine ingredients in shaker with ice, and shake vigorously.  Fine strain over fresh ice.  Garnish with a lime wheel.

Watermelon Cocktail
2 Parts Avión Silver
1 Part Fresh Lime Juice
4 One-Inch Cubes Fresh Watermelon
Squeeze Agave Nectar

Muddle watermelon with agave nectar in a mixing glass. Add remaining ingredients and shake vigorously with ice. Fine strain into a chilled cocktail glass, and garnish as desired.
